for God is the Judge: He brings down one and exalts another.

It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.

God is the one who judges. He says to one person,“ You are guilty.” To another he says,“ You are not guilty.”

but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.

It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.

for God is the Judge: He brings down one and exalts another.

But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.

For God is the judge! He brings one down and exalts another.

The heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God is the Judge. Selah

He has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.

The Lord helps the afflicted but brings the wicked to the ground.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

The Lord brings poverty and gives wealth; He humbles and He exalts.He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pile. He seats them with noblemen and gives them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; He has set the world on them.

Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingship of Israel away from you today and has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.

David replied to Michal,“ I was dancing before the Lord who chose me over your father and his whole family to appoint me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel. I will celebrate before the Lord,

Abner conferred with the elders of Israel:“ In the past you wanted David to be king over you.Now take action, because the Lord has spoken concerning David:‘ Through My servant David I will save My people Israel from the power of the Philistines and the power of all Israel’s enemies.’”

Command them to go to their masters, saying: This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: This is what you must say to your masters:By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of My servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him.All nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until the time for his own land comes, and then many nations and great kings will enslave him.“ As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and does not place its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish by sword, famine, and plague”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ until through him I have destroyed it.

The Lord said to Samuel,“ How long are you going to mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem because I have selected a king from his sons.”

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pilein order to seat them with nobles— with the nobles of His people.

Even while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led us out to battle and brought us back. The Lord also said to you,‘ You will shepherd My people Israel and be ruler over Israel.’”

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and defiance is like wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has rejected you as king.

But when God, who from my birth set me apart and called me by His grace, was pleased

Then people will say,“ Yes, there is a reward for the righteous! There is a God who judges on earth!”

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.

Your Majesty, you are king of kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.

For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
