大地鼎沸。生靈塗炭。作之棟梁。以支危難。

To the arrogant I say,‘ Boast no more,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horns.

To the proud I say,‘ Don’t brag anymore.’ To sinners I say,‘ Don’t show off your power.

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn;

“ I warned the proud,‘ Stop your boasting!’ I told the wicked,‘ Don’t raise your fists!

I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I say to the proud,“ Do not be proud,” and to the wicked,“ Do not be so confident of victory!

I said to the arrogant,“ Don’t boast!” I said to the wicked,“ Don’t lift up the horn.

I asked,“ What are these coming to do?” He answered,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.” (niv)

“ How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.“ The‘ gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.“ I said,‘ You are“ gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.”Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance. And he has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord. (niv)

For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn. (niv)
