God says,“ At the appointed times, I judge fairly.

So Jesus told them,“ The time for me to show who I really am is not here yet. For you, any time would be the right time.

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me,‘ A king must rule over people in a way that is right. He must have respect for God when he rules.Then he will be like the light of morning at sunrise when there aren’t any clouds. He will be like the bright sun after rain that makes grass grow on the earth.’

I said to myself,“ God will judge godly and sinful people alike. He has a time for every act. He has a time to judge everything that is done.”

All the elders of Israel came to see King David at Hebron. There the king made a covenant with them in front of the Lord. They anointed David as king over Israel.
