All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments.

Day after day I’ve been in pain. God has punished me in a new way every morning.

For all the day long I have been stricken and rebuked every morning.

I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.

so I have been allotted months of futility, and nights of misery have been assigned to me.When I lie down I think,‘ How long before I get up?’ The night drags on, and I toss and turn until dawn. (niv)

Does it please you to oppress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile on the plans of the wicked? (niv)

You bring new witnesses against me and increase your anger toward me; your forces come against me wave upon wave. (niv)

that you examine them every morning and test them every moment? (niv)

Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law; (niv)
