God, you are my God. I seek you with all my heart. With all my strength I thirst for you in this dry desert where there isn’t any water.

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.

God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.

My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God.My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Yah is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

My soul faints for your salvation. I hope in your word.

Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.

But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

I will say of Yahweh,“ He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.

But I trust in you, Yahweh. I said,“ You are my God.”

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say,‘ It is my people;’ and they will say,‘ Yahweh is my God.’”

The prophet Gad said to David,“ Don’t stay in the stronghold. Depart, and go into the land of Judah.” Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hereth.

Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.

when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when your disaster comes on like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come on you.Then they will call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me;

When he killed them, then they inquired after him. They returned and sought God earnestly.

The Ziphites came to Saul to Gibeah, saying,“ Doesn’t David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before the desert?”Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.Saul encamped in the hill of Hachilah, which is before the desert, by the way. But David stayed in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.

I will open rivers on the bare heights, and springs in the middle of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”

For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hides himself, and come again to me with certainty, and I will go with you. It shall happen, if he is in the land, that I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”They arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the Arabah on the south of the desert.Saul and his men went to seek him. When David was told, he went down to the rock, and stayed in the wilderness of Maon. When Saul heard that, he pursued David in the wilderness of Maon.

By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.The watchmen who go about the city found me;“ Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”

They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat;for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life- giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.

“ At that time,” says Yahweh,“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”

Jesus said to her,“ Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!

The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

The people were thirsty for water there; so the people murmured against Moses, and said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”

When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and doesn’t find it.

David stayed in the wilderness in the strongholds, and remained in the hill country in the wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God didn’t deliver him into his hand.David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. David was in the wilderness of Ziph in the wood.Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose, and went to David into the woods, and strengthened his hand in God.

If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, that you tell him that I am faint with love.

Behold, I will stay at the fords of the wilderness, until word comes from you to inform me.”
