God, you are my God. I seek you with all my heart. With all my strength I thirst for you in this dry desert where there isn’t any water.

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.

God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

My soul faints for Your salvation, But I hope in Your word.

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I will say of the Lord,“ He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say,“ You are my God.”

Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say,‘ This is My people’; And each one will say,‘ The Lord is my God.’”

Now the prophet Gad said to David,“ Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.“ Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.

When He slew them, then they sought Him; And they returned and sought earnestly for God.

Now the Ziphites came to Saul at Gibeah, saying,“ Is David not hiding in the hill of Hachilah, opposite Jeshimon?”Then Saul arose and went down to the Wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the Wilderness of Ziph.And Saul encamped in the hill of Hachilah, which is opposite Jeshimon, by the road. But David stayed in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.

I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.

I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”

For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned like a hearth.My heart is stricken and withered like grass, So that I forget to eat my bread.Because of the sound of my groaning My bones cling to my skin.

See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hides; and come back to me with certainty, and I will go with you. And it shall be, if he is in the land, that I will search for him throughout all the clans of Judah.”So they arose and went to Ziph before Saul. But David and his men were in the Wilderness of Maon, in the plain on the south of Jeshimon.When Saul and his men went to seek him, they told David. Therefore he went down to the rock, and stayed in the Wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued David in the Wilderness of Maon.

THE SHULAMITE: By night on my bed I sought the one I love; I sought him, but I did not find him.“ I will rise now,” I said,“ And go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love.” I sought him, but I did not find him.The watchmen who go about the city found me; I said,“ Have you seen the one I love?”

They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.

“ At the same time,” says the Lord,“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”

Jesus said to her,“ Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said,“ Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

“ When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.So David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. And David was in the Wilderness of Ziph in a forest.Then Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God.

If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty,

A man will be as a hiding place from the wind, And a cover from the tempest, As rivers of water in a dry place, As the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, That you tell him I am lovesick!

See, I will wait in the plains of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”
