Haven’t you, God, rejected us? You don’t go out with our armies, God.

神啊，你不是丢弃了我们吗？神啊，你不和我们的军兵同去吗？

上帝啊，你真的丢弃了我们吗？上帝啊，你不和我们的军队同去吗？

神啊，你真的丢弃了我们吗？神啊，你不和我们的军队同去吗？

上帝啊，你抛弃了我们吗？不再和我们的军队一同出战了吗？

神啊！你不是把我们丢弃了吗？神啊！你不和我们的军队一同出战吗？

神哪，你不会抛弃了我们吧？神哪，你不与我们的队伍一同出征吗？

神啊，你不是丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍兵同去嗎？

上帝啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？上帝啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

神啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

上帝啊，你拋棄了我們嗎？不再和我們的軍隊一同出戰了嗎？

神啊！你不是把我們丟棄了嗎？神啊！你不和我們的軍隊一同出戰嗎？

上帝啊，不是你把我們屏棄了麼？上帝啊，你不在我們軍隊中去出戰了！

神哪，你不會拋棄了我們吧？神哪，你不與我們的隊伍一同出征嗎？

上帝歟、爾非棄我乎、上帝歟、爾不與我軍偕出兮、

惟爾上帝、素棄我躬、惟爾上帝、今率予軍旅兮。

豈非天主乎、現今主竟棄絕我儕、不率我軍旅出徵、

摩瓦作盤。夷東置屩。菲莉之野。供我歡躍。

Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?

God, isn’t it you, even though you have now turned away from us? Isn’t it you, even though you don’t lead our armies into battle anymore?

Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go forth, O God, with our armies.

Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?

God, haven’t you rejected us? God, you do not march out with our armies.

Have You Yourself not rejected us, God? And will You not go out with our armies, God?

Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?

Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

God, haven’t You rejected us? God, You do not march out with our armies.

[ Wilt] not thou, O God,[ which] hadst cast us off? and[ thou], O God,[ which] didst not go out with our armies?

Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.

Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies.

Therefore the children of Israel can’t stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.

Yahweh said to me,“ Tell them,‘ Don’t go up and don’t fight; for I am not among you, lest you be struck before your enemies.’”

When the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said,“ What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” They understood that Yahweh’s ark had come into the camp.The Philistines were afraid, for they said,“ God has come into the camp.” They said,“ Woe to us! For there has not been such a thing before.

Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time because Yahweh, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

The Philistines fought, and Israel was defeated, and each man fled to his tent. There was a very great slaughter; for thirty thousand footmen of Israel fell.God’s ark was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain on Mount Gilboa.The Philistines followed hard after Saul and after his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.The battle went hard against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was distressed by reason of the archers.Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not; for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell on it.When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell on his sword, and died.So Saul died with his three sons; and all his house died together.When all the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned their cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and lived in them.On the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.They stripped him, and took his head and his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines all around, to carry the news to their idols, and to the people.They put his armor in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the house of Dagon.When all Jabesh Gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,all the valiant men arose, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Yahweh, because of Yahweh’s word, which he didn’t keep; and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire,and didn’t inquire of Yahweh. Therefore he killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God.

In that day you will say,“ I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.”

“ Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying,‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Yahweh says:“ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”

I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes.All the nations surrounded me, but in Yahweh’s name, I cut them off.

Through you, will we push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.In God we have made our boast all day long, we will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.

for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
