「我要在我的子民以色列中彰顯我的聖名，不容我的聖名再被褻瀆，列國就知道我－耶和華是以色列中的聖者。

你們要休息，要知道我是上帝！我必在列國中受尊崇，在全地也受尊崇。萬軍之耶和華與我們同在，雅各的上帝是我們的避難所！

我必顯為大，顯為聖，在許多國家眼前顯明自己；他們就知道我是耶和華。」

你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的走獸同住，吃草如牛，讓天上的露水滴濕，且要經過七個時期，直等到你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜給誰就賜給誰。

主，我們的盾牌啊，不要殺他們，免得我的子民遺忘；求你用你的能力使他們四散，使他們降為卑。

到了獻晚祭的時候，先知以利亞近前來，說：「耶和華－亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的上帝啊，求你今日使人知道你是以色列的上帝，我是你的僕人，我遵照你的話做這一切事。求你應允我，耶和華啊，應允我，使這百姓知道你－耶和華是上帝，是你叫他們回心轉意的。」

按你們窺探那地的四十日，一年抵一日，你們要擔當你們的罪孽四十年，你們就知道我疏遠你們了。』我－耶和華說過，我必這樣對待這一切聚集對抗我的邪惡會眾。他們必在這曠野中消滅，死在這裏。」

耶和華－你的上帝必將這些國從你面前漸漸趕出；你不可迅速把他們消滅，免得野地的走獸多起來危害你。耶和華－你的上帝必將他們交給你，大大擾亂他們，直到他們被除滅。

因為造你的是你的丈夫，萬軍之耶和華是他的名；救贖你的是以色列的聖者，他必稱為全地之上帝。
