The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked.

Godly people will be glad when those who have hurt them are paid back. They will dip their feet in the blood of those who do evil.

The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he will bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked.

The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.

The righteous one will rejoice when he sees the retribution; he will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

The godly will rejoice in the LORD and take shelter in him. All the morally upright will boast.

When the godly see this, they rejoice, and every sinner shuts his mouth.

May all your enemies perish like this, O LORD! But may those who love you shine like the rising sun at its brightest!” And the land had rest for forty years.

When the righteous do well, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there is joy.

with these words:“ We give you thanks, Lord God, the All- Powerful, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun to reign.The nations were enraged, but your wrath has come, and the time has come for the dead to be judged, and the time has come to give to your servants, the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints and to those who revere your name, both small and great, and the time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

when my steps were bathed with butter and the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil!

When the godly see this, they will be filled with awe, and will mock the evildoer, saying:

The righteous see their destruction and rejoice; the innocent mock them scornfully, saying,

Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes– you will see the wicked paid back.

Cry out, O nations, with his people, for he will avenge his servants’ blood; he will take vengeance against his enemies, and make atonement for his land and people.

God springs into action! His enemies scatter; his adversaries run from him.As smoke is driven away by the wind, so you drive them away. As wax melts before fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.But the godly are happy; they rejoice before God and are overcome with joy.

Then the winepress was stomped outside the city, and blood poured out of the winepress up to the height of horses’ bridles for a distance of almost two hundred miles.

( Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has pronounced judgment against her on your behalf!)

After these things I heard what sounded like the loud voice of a vast throng in heaven, saying,“ Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,because his judgments are true and just. For he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and has avenged the blood of his servants poured out by her own hands!”Then a second time the crowd shouted,“ Hallelujah!” The smoke rises from her forever and ever.The twenty- four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves to the ground and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne, saying:“ Amen! Hallelujah!”Then a voice came from the throne, saying:“ Praise our God all you his servants, and all you who fear him, both the small and the great!”Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a vast throng, like the roar of many waters and like loud crashes of thunder. They were shouting:“ Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the All- Powerful, reigns!
