曰、試觀斯人、不以上帝為力、惟恃多財、以惡自固兮、

曰、彼其之子、輕上帝之能力、恃一己之貨財、強悍作惡兮、

云、不仰賴天主保護、惟恃己之多財、盡力作惡者、即是此人、

欲論世間人。應觀其終局。小人處順境。所以成其戮。灼灼何足恃。彈指歸寂寞。夢中雖云歡。覺後應悲哭。悲哭復何及。塵影淪幽壑。

耶穌出時、首帶棘冠、身披紫袍。比辣多語眾曰：『可以觀其人矣！』

橫逆縱頻仍。心泰何憂否。財富安足恃。不得贖昆弟。黃金高北斗。未足賂天帝。生命無價寶。非財所能市。永生與不朽。人力寧能致。爾其勿妄想。妄想祇多事。智巧徒爾為。終須有一死。愚蠢不足論。自當紛紛逝。身亡留其財。他人為之嗣。意謂基業固。第宅保萬世。孳孳求田舍。瑣瑣標名字。誰知盈難持。榮華荏苒已。生榮死則休。蠢蠢如鹿豕。冥頑何足訓。世人反稱智。實如待宰羊。死亡為之牧。平明正人興。群小當俯伏。塵影淪重泉。何處可托足。主必贖吾魂。安然脫冥獄脫獄將何適。納入主靈幄。富人不足畏。但能潤其屋。潤屋亦何益。空手歸寂寞。一生圖安樂。人謂善求福。光陰容易度。彈指入昭穆。杳杳即長暮。光明誰復矚。

叮嚀斯世富人、不可驕傲；財富無常、未足恃也。所可恃者、惟天主耳。天主慨然以萬物賜予吾人、俾得充量享受者、

吾民其恃主。向主披肺腑。雖在危厄終必安。主是吾人停泊所。貧富貴賤皆泡影。泡影為重人生輕。若衡二者天平上。人生應升泡影沈。

腦滿腸亦肥。熙熙恣其欲。顏厚口如簧。旁人不在目。誇誕凌雲霄。人寰供浪謔。聖民亦眩惑。薰染於習俗。意謂主無知。高高何所矚。

豈可委爾心。仰賴侯與王。若輩皆凡人。生命如朝霜。安能為爾謀。自救且不遑。一旦絕其氣。杏如石火光。身體歸塵土。謀為悉粃穅。何如踵雅谷。仰主膺多福。彼乃永生主。眾望之所托。
