All my bones shall say,“ Lord, who is like You, Delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?”

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

There is no soundness in my flesh Because of Your anger, Nor any health in my bones Because of my sin.

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Men and brethren, what shall we do?”Then Peter said to them,“ Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying,“ Be saved from this perverse generation.”Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made.For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry and struck him; I hid and was angry, And he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, And restore comforts to him And to his mourners.

But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

“ Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.And he brought them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”So they said,“ Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.
