山上之飛翮。野中之毛族。宇宙與萬物。何者非吾屬。

I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.

God said,“ Let the water swarm with swarms of living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”God created the great sea creatures and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.God blessed them and said,“ Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.”

Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are?

Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!

“ Suppose I were to send wild animals through the land and kill its children, leaving it desolate, without travelers due to the wild animals.Even if these three men were in it, as surely as I live, declares the sovereign LORD, they could not save their own sons or daughters; they would save only their own lives, and the land would become desolate.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.Even all the hairs on your head are numbered.So do not be afraid; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

“ Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, and spreads its wings toward the south?Is it at your command that the eagle soars, and builds its nest on high?It lives on a rock and spends the night there, on a rocky crag and a fortress.From there it spots its prey, its eyes gaze intently from a distance.And its young ones devour the blood, and where the dead carcasses are, there it is.”

“ The wings of the ostrich flap with joy, but are they the pinions and plumage of a stork?For she leaves her eggs on the ground, and lets them be warmed on the soil.She forgets that a foot might crush them, or that a wild animal might trample them.She is harsh with her young, as if they were not hers; she is unconcerned about the uselessness of her labor.For God deprived her of wisdom, and did not impart understanding to her.But as soon as she springs up, she laughs at the horse and its rider.

The birds of the sky live beside them; they chirp among the bushes.

All you wild animals in the fields, come and devour, all you wild animals in the forest!

He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they chirp.

Who prepares prey for the raven, when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?
