For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil can dwell with You.

爾為上帝、不悅罪戾、惡人不得與爾同居兮、

維彼罪人兮、上帝不悅、不許同居、

因主為天主、不喜悅惡事、不容惡人與主同居、

明發即懷主。晨省豈不早。

For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome.

For you, God, aren’t happy with anything that is evil. Those who do what is wrong can’t live where you are.

For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.

O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked.

For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil cannot dwell with you.

For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: Evil shall not sojourn with thee.

For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil cannot dwell with You.

For thou[ art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Certainly you are not a God who approves of evil; evil people cannot dwell with you.

For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can’t live with you.

Certainly the righteous will give thanks to Your name; The upright will dwell in Your presence.

Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you say,“ How have we wearied Him?” In that you say,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,” or,“ Where is the God of justice?”

and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, And His soul hates one who loves violence.

To declare that the Lord is just; He is my rock, and there is no malice in Him.

But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree?

One who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; One who speaks lies shall not maintain his position before me.

Your eyes are too pure to look at evil, And You cannot look at harm favorably. Why do You look favorably At those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they?

These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.

Since I know, my God, that You put the heart to the test and delight in uprightness, I, in the integrity of my heart, have willingly offered all these things; so now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You.

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Jesus answered and said to him,“ If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.
