Why should I fear when evil days come, when wicked deceivers surround me—

Why should I be afraid when trouble comes? Why should I fear when sinners are all around me? They are the kind of people who want to take advantage of me.

Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,

Why should I fear when trouble comes, when enemies surround me?

Why should I fear in times of trouble? The iniquity of my foes surrounds me.

Why should I fear in days of adversity, When the injustice of those who betray me surrounds me,

Why should I fear in the days of evil, When the iniquity at my heels surrounds me?

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, When iniquity at my heels compasseth me about?

Why should I fear in times of trouble? The iniquity of my foes surrounds me.

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil,[ when] the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

Why should I be afraid in times of trouble, when the sinful deeds of deceptive men threaten to overwhelm me?

Why should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity at my heels surrounds me?

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died— more than that, who was raised to life— is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (niv)

without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved— and that by God. (niv)

They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my life.Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down. (niv)

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (niv)

My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. (niv)

The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. (niv)

Dan will be a snake by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward. (niv)

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. (niv)

but they do not realize that I remember all their evil deeds. Their sins engulf them; they are always before me. (niv)

Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet. (niv)

Now do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the Lord. The king of Israel has come out to look for a flea— as one hunts a partridge in the mountains.” (niv)

If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! (niv)

Therefore the prudent keep quiet in such times, for the times are evil. (niv)

making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (niv)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, (niv)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“ All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. (niv)
