人殖貨財、門庭炫赫、爾毋懼兮、

主必贖吾魂。安然脫冥獄脫獄將何適。納入主靈幄。

Do not be overawed when others grow rich, when the splendor of their houses increases;

Don’t get too upset when other people become rich. Don’t be troubled when they become more and more wealthy.

Be not afraid when a man becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.

So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid.

Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for Him; do not be agitated by one who prospers in his way, by the man who carries out evil plans.

Why should I fear in times of trouble? The iniquity of my foes surrounds me.

After all this took place, King Ahasuerus honored Haman, son of Hammedatha the Agagite. He promoted him in rank and gave him a higher position than all the other officials.The entire royal staff at the King’s Gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, because the king had commanded this to be done for him. But Mordecai would not bow down or pay homage.The members of the royal staff at the King’s Gate asked Mordecai,“ Why are you disobeying the king’s command?”When they had warned him day after day and he still would not listen to them, they told Haman to see if Mordecai’s actions would be tolerated, since he had told them he was a Jew.When Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing down or paying him homage, he was filled with rage.And when he learned of Mordecai’s ethnic identity, Haman decided not to do away with Mordecai alone. He planned to destroy all of Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout Ahasuerus’s kingdom.

When the righteous triumph, there is great rejoicing, but when the wicked come to power, people hide themselves.

Do not be agitated by evildoers; do not envy those who do wrong.

Then Haman described for them his glorious wealth and his many sons. He told them all how the king had honored him and promoted him in rank over the other officials and the royal staff.

Now Jacob heard what Laban’s sons were saying:“ Jacob has taken all that was our father’s and has built this wealth from what belonged to our father.”
