God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.

God went up to his throne while his people were shouting with joy. The Lord went up while trumpets were playing.

All Israel brought up the ark of the LORD’s covenant; they were shouting, blowing trumpets, sounding cymbals, and playing stringed instruments.

An alarm must be sounded for their journeys.But when you assemble the community, you must blow, but you must not sound an alarm.The sons of Aaron, the priests, must blow the trumpets; and they will be to you for an eternal ordinance throughout your generations.If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.“ Also in the time when you rejoice, such as on your appointed festivals or at the beginnings of your months, you must blow with your trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, so that they may become a memorial for you before your God: I am the LORD your God.”

Now during the blessing he departed and was taken up into heaven.So they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple courts blessing God.

With trumpets and the blaring of the ram’s horn, shout out praises before the king, the LORD!

But then the Lord awoke from his sleep; he was like a warrior in a drunken rage.

God has countless chariots; they number in the thousands. The Lord comes from Sinai in holy splendor.You ascend on high, you have taken many captives. You receive tribute from men, including even sinful rebels. Indeed the LORD God lives there!The Lord deserves praise! Day after day he carries our burden, the God who delivers us.( Selah)

Heman and Jeduthun were in charge of the music, including the trumpets, cymbals, and the other musical instruments used in praising God. The sons of Jeduthun guarded the entrance.

Sound the ram’s horn on the day of the new moon, and on the day of the full moon when our festival begins.

They see your processions, O God– the processions of my God, my king, who marches along in holy splendor.Singers walk in front; musicians follow playing their stringed instruments, in the midst of young women playing tambourines.

And we all agree, our religion contains amazing revelation: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

He has not looked on iniquity in Jacob, nor has he seen trouble in Israel. The LORD their God is with them; his acclamation as king is among them.

When you hear the signal from the ram’s horn, have the whole army give a loud battle cry. Then the city wall will collapse and the warriors should charge straight ahead.”

This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”

Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests were to blow the trumpets before the ark of God; Obed-Edom and Jehiel were also guardians of the ark.

in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Therefore it says,“ When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men.”Now what is the meaning of“ he ascended,” except that he also descended to the lower regions, namely, the earth?He, the very one who descended, is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
