萬族喧囂、列邦震動、主發雷聲、地即消滅、

主之安宅誰能動。恩澤騰沸在清晨。

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

Nations are in disorder. Kingdoms fall. God speaks, and the people of the earth melt in fear.

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.

The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts!

The Lord, the GOD of Armies— he touches the earth; it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn; all of it rises like the Nile and subsides like the Nile of Egypt.

The LORD thundered from heaven; the Most High made his voice heard.

They told Joshua,“ The LORD has handed over the entire land to us. Everyone who lives in the land is also panicking because of us.”

and said to them,“ I know that the LORD has given you this land and that the terror of you has fallen on us, and everyone who lives in the land is panicking because of you.

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD— at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the LORD and his Anointed One:“ Let’s tear off their chains and throw their ropes off of us.”The one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord ridicules them.

Band together, peoples, and be broken; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for war, and be broken; prepare for war, and be broken.Devise a plan; it will fail. Make a prediction; it will not happen. For God is with us.

See how your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have acted arrogantly.They devise clever schemes against your people; they conspire against your treasured ones.They say,“ Come, let’s wipe them out as a nation so that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.”For they have conspired with one mind; they form an alliance against you—the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.Even Assyria has joined them; they lend support to the sons of Lot. Selah

Look, the days are coming— this is the LORD’s declaration— when the plowman will overtake the reaper and the one who treads grapes, the sower of seed. The mountains will drip with sweet wine, and all the hills will flow with it.

The mountains will melt beneath him, and the valleys will split apart, like wax near a fire, like water cascading down a mountainside.

When they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped destroy each other.When Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked for the large army, but there were only corpses lying on the ground; nobody had escaped.

the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its unripe figs when shaken by a high wind;the sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up; and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

He said: The LORD roars from Zion and makes his voice heard from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds mourn, and the summit of Carmel withers.

Then Zerah the Cushite came against them with an army of one million men and three hundred chariots. They came as far as Mareshah.So Asa marched out against him and lined up in battle formation in Zephathah Valley at Mareshah.Then Asa cried out to the LORD his God,“ LORD, there is no one besides you to help the mighty and those without strength. Help us, LORD our God, for we depend on you, and in your name we have come against this large army. LORD, you are our God. Do not let a mere mortal hinder you.”So the LORD routed the Cushites before Asa and before Judah, and the Cushites fled.Then Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar. The Cushites fell until they had no survivors, for they were crushed before the LORD and his army. So the people of Judah carried off a great supply of loot.

The LORD makes his voice heard in the presence of his army. His camp is very large; those who carry out his command are powerful. Indeed, the day of the LORD is terrible and dreadful— who can endure it?

After this, the Moabites and Ammonites, together with some of the Meunites, came to fight against Jehoshaphat.

The mountains see you and shudder; a downpour of water sweeps by. The deep roars with its voice and lifts its waves high.Sun and moon stand still in their lofty residence, at the flash of your flying arrows, at the brightness of your shining spear.

If only you would tear the heavens open and come down, so that mountains would quake at your presence—just as fire kindles brushwood, and fire boils water— to make your name known to your enemies, so that nations would tremble at your presence!

Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground.You said to yourself,“ I will ascend to the heavens; I will set up my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of the gods’ assembly, in the remotest parts of the North.I will ascend above the highest clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”But you will be brought down to Sheol into the deepest regions of the Pit.Those who see you will stare at you; they will look closely at you:“ Is this the man who caused the earth to tremble, who shook the kingdoms,

to him who rides in the ancient, highest heavens. Look, he thunders with his powerful voice!

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godlinessas you wait for the day of God and hasten its coming. Because of that day, the heavens will be dissolved with fire and the elements will melt with heat.

Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah:“ The LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘ Because you prayed to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria,this is the word the LORD has spoken against him: Virgin Daughter Zion despises you and scorns you; Daughter Jerusalem shakes her head behind your back.Who is it you have mocked and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!You have mocked the Lord through your servants. You have said,“ With my many chariots I have gone up to the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon. I cut down its tallest cedars, its choice cypress trees. I came to its distant heights, its densest forest.I dug wells and drank water in foreign lands. I dried up all the streams of Egypt with the soles of my feet.”Have you not heard? I designed it long ago; I planned it in days gone by. I have now brought it to pass, and you have crushed fortified cities into piles of rubble.Their inhabitants have become powerless, dismayed, and ashamed. They are plants of the field, tender grass, grass on the rooftops, blasted by the east wind.But I know your sitting down, your going out and your coming in, and your raging against me.Because your raging against me and your arrogance have reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth; I will make you go back the way you came.“‘ This will be the sign for you: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what grows from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward.For a remnant will go out from Jerusalem, and survivors from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.’“ Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city, shoot an arrow here, come before it with a shield, or build up a siege ramp against it.He will go back the way he came, and he will not enter this city. This is the LORD’s declaration.I will defend this city and rescue it for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.”Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!
