Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.

Blessed are those who care about weak people. When they are in trouble, the Lord saves them.

Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.

Happy is one who is considerate of the poor; the LORD will save him in a day of adversity.

Blessed is one who considers the helpless; The Lord will save him on a day of trouble.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

Happy is one who cares for the poor; the Lord will save him in a day of adversity.

Blessed[ is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

How blessed is the one who treats the poor properly! When trouble comes, the LORD delivers him.

Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.

He who despises his neighbor sins; But he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.

I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.As it is written:“ He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand,‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’“ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say,‘ Here I am.’“ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always.

Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.

“ If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother,but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying,‘ The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it become sin among you.You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying,‘ You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble.And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.

“ If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,Or eaten my morsel by myself, So that the fatherless could not eat of it( But from my youth I reared him as a father, And from my mother’s womb I guided the widow);If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or any poor man without covering;If his heart has not blessed me, And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

Because I delivered the poor who cried out, The fatherless and the one who had no helper.The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame.I was a father to the poor, And I searched out the case that I did not know.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say,“ I have no pleasure in them”:

As messengers of death is the king’s wrath, But a wise man will appease it.
