For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.

There are more troubles all around me than I can count. My sins have caught up with me, and I can’t see any longer. My sins are more than the hairs of my head. I have lost all hope.

人有過失、孰能自知兮、苟愆尤之誤犯、願赦宥之予加兮、

昔基督欲導我儕、至上帝前、其為人罪受苦、以義代不義、身死而賴聖神復生、

世所必至者、人人危懼、至於喪膽、天象震動故也、

我迷於歧途、譬諸亡羊、所向靡定、耶和華使我愆尤叢於其身、

告兄弟曰、人反我金、猶在於囊。眾心危懼、相告曰、上帝之待我如此、曷故。○

今患難迫切、援手無人、爾勿遐棄兮。健牛成群、至自巴山、四面環集兮、其口孔張、吼似猛獅兮、予不覺觳觫、而骨若散兮、氣之餒也、如水之流蕩兮、心之怯也、若蠟之消融兮、精力日以衰、如陶器嘆火而燥兮、齦閉舌卷、命臨死地兮、梟獍圍我、惡黨環攻、傷予手足兮、予骨露立、歷歷可數、為人輕覬兮、分我外服、鬮我裏衣兮、耶和華兮、予惟爾力是恃、毋我遐棄、速至而援手兮、
