因有無數之災禍圍困我、罪孽罹於我身、望之無極、比髮尤多、使我心寒膽戰、

莫壅爾仁淵源源賜洪恩。但願爾聖道。長作我明燈。

For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.

There are more troubles all around me than I can count. My sins have caught up with me, and I can’t see any longer. My sins are more than the hairs of my head. I have lost all hope.

For evils have encompassed me beyond number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my head; my heart fails me.

我的罪孽高過我的頭，如同重擔，使我擔當不起。

我的肉身和我的內心雖然漸漸衰弱，神卻永遠是我心裡的磐石，是我的業分。

那些無故恨我的，比我的頭髮還多；無理與我為敵，要把我滅絕的，人數眾多。我沒有搶奪過的，竟要我償還。

誰能知道自己的錯誤呢？求你赦免我隱而未現的過失。

死亡的繩索纏繞著我，陰間的痛苦抓住我；我遭遇患難和愁苦。

稅吏卻遠遠站著，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶著胸說：‘神啊，可憐我這個罪人！’我告訴你們，這個人回家去，比那個倒算為義了。因為高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”

因為基督也曾一次為你們的罪死了，就是義的代替不義的，為要領你們到神面前。就肉體的方面說，他曾死去；就靈的方面說，他復活了；

天上的萬象震動，人因為等待即將臨到世界的事，都嚇昏了。

我們眾人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和華卻把我們眾人的罪孽，都歸在他身上。

於是對兄弟們說：“我的銀子都歸還了。你們看，就在我的布袋裡。”他們就心裡驚慌，彼此戰戰兢兢地說：“神向我們作的是甚麼呢？”

求你不要遠離我，因為災難臨近了，卻沒有人幫助我。有許多公牛圍著我，巴珊強壯的公牛困住了我。他們向我大大地張嘴，像抓撕吼叫的獅子。我好像水被傾倒出去，我全身的骨頭都散脫了，我的心在我裡面像蠟融化。我的精力像瓦片一樣枯乾，我的舌頭緊黏著上顎，你把我放在死亡的塵土中。犬類圍著我，惡黨環繞我，他們扎了（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他們扎了”作“像獅子”；現參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯）我的手我的腳。我能數算我全身的骨頭，他們卻瞪著眼看我。他們彼此分了我的外衣，又為我的內衣抽籤。至於你，耶和華啊！求你不要遠離我；我的力量啊！求你快來幫助我。

因為我們的大祭司並不是不能同情我們的軟弱，他像我們一樣，也曾在各方面受過試探，只是他沒有犯罪。
