But I, as a deaf man, don’t hear. I am as a mute man who doesn’t open his mouth.

但我如聋子不听，像哑巴不开口。

至于我，像个聋子，不能听见；像个哑巴，不能开口。

但我像聽不見的聾子，無法說話的啞巴。

至於我，像個聾子，不能聽見；像個啞巴，不能開口。

但是我呢、我如同聾子、不能聽，如同啞巴、不能開口。

至於我，我就像耳聾的不能聽見，像啞巴不能開口。

我如聾者不聞聲、瘖者不啟口、

我不言不聽、如聾如啞兮、

我如耳聾不聞、如瘖者不啟口、

仇人仍設網。殺我方甘心。群聚議詭計。終日出惡聲。

I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak;

Like a deaf person, I can’t hear. Like someone who can’t speak, I can’t say a word.

But I am like a deaf man; I do not hear, like a mute man who does not open his mouth.

But I am deaf to all their threats. I am silent before them as one who cannot speak.

I am like a deaf person; I do not hear. I am like a speechless person who does not open his mouth.

But I, like a person who is deaf, do not hear; And I am like a person who cannot speak, who does not open his mouth.

But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.

But I, as a deaf man, hear not; And I am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

I am like a deaf person; I do not hear. I am like a speechless person who does not open his mouth.

But I, as a deaf[ man], heard not; and[ I was] as a dumb man[ that] openeth not his mouth.

But I am like a deaf man– I hear nothing; I am like a mute who cannot speak.

I was mute. I didn’t open my mouth, because you did it.

I was mute with silence. I held my peace, even from good. My sorrow was stirred.

When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he didn’t open his mouth.

How much more this Benjamite, now? Leave him alone, and let him curse; for Yahweh has invited him.It may be that Yahweh will look on the wrong done to me, and that Yahweh will repay me good for the cursing of me today.”
