愿所有恨恶锡安的，都蒙羞退后。愿他们像屋顶上的草，尚未长大，就枯干了；收割的不够一把，捆禾的不够满怀。

直到我进了神的圣所，才明白他们的结局。你实在把他们安放在滑地，使他们倒下、灭亡。他们忽然间成了多么荒凉，被突然的惊恐完全消灭。人睡醒了怎样看梦，主啊！你睡醒了，也要照样轻看他们（“他们”原文作“他们的影像”）。

恶人的欢呼并不长久，不敬虔者的快乐，不过是暂时的吗？虽然他的高贵上达于天，他的头直插云霄，他必永远灭亡像自己的粪一般，素来看见他的，都要说：‘他在哪里呢？’他必如梦一般飞逝，人再也找不着他，他必被赶去如夜间的异象，亲眼见过他的，必不再见他，他的本处也必看不见他。

他生长如花，又遭割下；他飞去如影，并不停留。

我曾看见强暴的恶人兴旺，像树木在本土茂盛。但他很快就消逝，不再存在了；我寻找他，却找不到。

你使世人消逝，像被洪水冲去；他们好像睡了一觉；他们又像在早晨生长的草，早晨发芽生长，晚上就凋萎枯干。

富足的也不应该以降卑为辱；因为他如同草上的花，必要过去。太阳一出，热风一吹，草必枯干，花必凋谢，它的美容就消失了；富足的人也必在他的奔波经营中这样衰落。

恶人虽好像草一样繁茂，所有作孽的人虽然兴旺，他们都要永远灭亡。

因为“所有的人（“人”原文作“肉体”），尽都如草，他们的荣美，都像草上的花；草必枯干，花必凋谢，
