A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

In a little while, there won’t be any more sinners. Even if you look for them, you won’t be able to find them.

I have seen wicked and ruthless people flourishing like a tree in its native soil.But when I looked again, they were gone! Though I searched for them, I could not find them!

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.“ For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

Everyone there will stare at you and ask,‘ Can this be the one who shook the earth and made the kingdoms of the world tremble?Is this the one who destroyed the world and made it into a wasteland? Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners?’“ The kings of the nations lie in stately glory, each in his own tomb,but you will be thrown out of your grave like a worthless branch. Like a corpse trampled underfoot, you will be dumped into a mass grave with those killed in battle. You will descend to the pit.

The godly will see these things and be glad, while the wicked are struck silent.Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.

“ Then the rich man said,‘ Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home.For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’

The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here.

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.Then at last everyone will say,“ There truly is a reward for those who live for God; surely there is a God who judges justly here on earth.”

“ But when people die, their strength is gone. They breathe their last, and then where are they?
