一朝我罹難。欣然相慶祝。落井更投石。心中懷叵測。

“ If I have rejoiced at my enemy’s misfortune or gloated over the trouble that came to him—

Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.

For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.They say,“ God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”

I hear many whispering,“ Terror on every side! Denounce him! Let’s denounce him!” All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying,“ Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him.”
