In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish,but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison.Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God.And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!

He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

I said to myself,“ I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say. I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.”

Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.

So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.

Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed.

The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.

They have kept themselves as pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb.They have told no lies; they are without blame.

Everything is falling apart; threats and cheating are rampant in the streets.

A false witness will not go unpunished, and a liar will be destroyed.

He said,“ They are my very own people. Surely they will not betray me again.” And he became their Savior.

The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.
