耶和华说：“我的子民愚顽，不认识我，是蒙昧无知的儿女，只知行恶，不知行善。”

我们如果把嚼环放在马嘴里，便可以使它顺服，驾驭它。

我仔细听，没有人说实话，没有人为自己的恶行后悔，说，‘我做了可怕的事！’人人一意孤行，像战马直奔战场。天空的鹳鸟尚且知道来去的季节，斑鸠、燕子和白鹤也遵守迁徙的时间，但我的子民却不认识耶和华的法则。

我听见以法莲在为自己悲叹，‘我们就像未经驯服的牛犊，你管教我们，使我们顺服，求你使我们回到你身边，重新复兴，因为你是我们的上帝耶和华。
