For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

因此敬虔之士、宜乘可尋之際禱爾、大水氾濫、必不相及兮、

因此敬虔之士、於見納之時、禱告於爾、即使洪水泛濫、災不及身、

因此凡虔誠人、當在可蒙主恩之時、祈求主、洪水氾濫、必不臨及其身、

傳語虔信。及時祈主。洪水不犯。主實砥柱。

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.

Let everyone who is faithful pray to you while they can still look to you. When troubles come like a flood, they certainly won’t reach those who are faithful.

Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.

Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

When thou passest through the waters, I[ will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

( For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now[ is] the accepted time; behold, now[ is] the day of salvation.)

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear[ thereof], and be glad.O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

Ye shall seek me, and shall not find[ me]: and where I am,[ thither] ye cannot come.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth,[ even] praise unto our God: many shall see[ it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that[ were] under the whole heaven, were covered.Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:All in whose nostrils[ was] the breath of life, of all that[ was] in the dry[ land], died.

But as for me, my prayer[ is] unto thee, O LORD,[ in] an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto[ my] soul.I sink in deep mire, where[ there is] no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things[ which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me[ with thy] free spirit.[ Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
