主必護之在主前之庇所、脫離世人之計謀、藏之在帷幕內、免受口舌之詆譭、

樂哉諸君子。事主尊且親。主有無窮福。特為爾貯存。肉眼未曾見。俗耳未曾聞。

In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.

They are safe because you are with them. You hide them from the evil plans of their enemies. In your house you keep them safe from those who bring charges against them.

In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.

You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues.

You hide them in the protection of your presence; you conceal them in a shelter from human schemes, from quarrelsome tongues.

You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of mankind; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Thou[ art] my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD,[ He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,[ and] from the noisome pestilence.He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth[ shall be thy] shield and buckler.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent[ men] have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

The wicked in[ his] pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.This wisdom descendeth not from above, but[ is] earthly, sensual, devilish.For where envying and strife[ is], there[ is] confusion and every evil work.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

Blessed[ is] that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Now I know that the LORD[ is] greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly[ he was] above them.

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:Who whet their tongue like a sword,[ and] bend[ their bows to shoot] their arrows,[ even] bitter words:That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!And the tongue[ is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and[ that] I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest[ there be] debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
