耶和華歟、我曾籲爾、勿使我蒙羞、惟使惡人蒙羞、俾在陰府緘默兮、

我籲耶和華、毋使予愧恥、使彼惡人懷羞兮、俱歸暗府而無語兮、

主歟、我常呼籲主、求主使我不至蒙羞、使惡人蒙羞、沈淪於示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註

願爾開慈顏。照護爾微臣。

Lord, I have cried out to you. Don’t let me be put to shame. But let sinners be put to shame. Let them lie silent in the place of the dead.

O Lord, let me not be put to shame, for I call upon you; let the wicked be put to shame; let them go silently to Sheol.

Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them lie silent in the grave.

LORD, do not let me be disgraced when I call on you. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them be quiet in Sheol.

Let me not be put to shame, Lord, for I call upon You; Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Lord, do not let me be disgraced when I call on You. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them be silent in Sheol.

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed,[ and] let them be silent in the grave.

O LORD, do not let me be humiliated, for I call out to you! May evil men be humiliated! May they go wailing to the grave!

Let me not be disappointed, Yahweh, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.

I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

It is not the dead who praise the Lord, those who go down to the place of silence;

“ All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.

Lord, the Lord Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me.For I endure scorn for your sake, and shame covers my face.

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.May those who say to me,“ Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame.

But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.

My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.

Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.“ It is not by strength that one prevails;

Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced; they will go off into disgrace together.But Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.

He asked,‘ How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.“ Then the king told the attendants,‘ Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace.

May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.

May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.May those who say to me,“ Aha! Aha!” turn back because of their shame.

You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.

All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Cover their faces with shame, Lord, so that they will seek your name.May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.

I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.

Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; my servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit.
