Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunder storm,

You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.

God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.

“ Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”I will tell of the decree: Yahweh said to me,“ You are my son. Today I have become your father.Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
