He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them.They are worthless, a work of delusion; at the time of their punishment they shall perish.Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.

In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.

For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.

“ Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
