O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent.

我天主歟、我白晝呼籲、主不垂聽、我夜間呼籲、不得寂靜、寂靜或作安寧

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me,“ Where is your God?”

O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You.

I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,

You have covered Yourself with a cloud, That prayer should not pass through.

So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me.Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.

O Lord God of hosts, How long will You be angry Against the prayer of Your people?

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,saying,“ Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.Then He said to them,“ Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?

Even when I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.
