終必勃然而怒兮。以懲當車之螳螂。

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill[ the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels[ among them].He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay[ them] before me.

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance[ was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

[ Ye] serpents,[ ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and[ some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and[ some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute[ them] from city to city:That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or[ that] thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.Thou sittest[ and] speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.These[ things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether[ such an one] as thyself:[ but] I will reprove thee, and set[ them] in order before thine eyes.Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear[ you] in pieces, and[ there be] none to deliver.

But when the king heard[ thereof], he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
