維彼誕妄兮、則擯棄之、寅畏耶和華兮、則恭敬止、願既許兮、雖己有損、不易其志兮。

厭惡匪類、尊崇敬畏主者、既立誓願、雖受損害、亦不變更、

見惡避若浼。見善共相歡。一言九鼎重。得失非所患。

who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind;

They hate evil people. But they honor those who have respect for the Lord. They keep their promises even when it hurts. They do not change their mind.

in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord, and keep their promises even when it hurts.

who despises the one rejected by the LORD but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his word whatever the cost,

A despicable person is despised in his eyes, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He takes an oath to his own detriment, and does not change;

In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah; He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not;

He despises a reprobate, but honors the LORD’s loyal followers. He makes firm commitments and does not renege on his promise.

When he saw her, he tore his clothes, and said,“ Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are one of those who trouble me; for I have opened my mouth to Yahweh, and I can’t go back.”

My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me.

“ Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones,‘ You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,’

They also honored us with many honors, and when we sailed, they put on board the things that we needed.

I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.

As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying,“ Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that prosperity is coming to this nation by your foresight,we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.

Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him,“ No, for Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”Elisha said,“ As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

All the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate bowed down, and paid homage to Haman; for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai didn’t bow down or pay him homage.

As he reasoned about righteousness, self- control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered,“ Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”

There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Yahweh. Yahweh said,“ It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”The king called the Gibeonites, and said to them( now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites, and the children of Israel had sworn to them; and Saul sought to kill them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah);

A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil.

He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said,“ Behold, my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

The children of Israel didn’t strike them, because the princes of the congregation had sworn to them by Yahweh, the God of Israel. All the congregation murmured against the princes.But all the princes said to all the congregation,“ We have sworn to them by Yahweh, the God of Israel. Now therefore we may not touch them.We will do this to them, and let them live; lest wrath be on us, because of the oath which we swore to them.”

Then Daniel answered before the king,“ Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.“ You, king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty.Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to.But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.He was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the animals’, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky; until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that he sets up over it whomever he will.“ You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which don’t see, or hear, or know; and you have not glorified the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways.Then the part of the hand was sent from before him, and this writing was inscribed.“ This is the writing that was inscribed:‘ MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’“ This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE: God has counted your kingdom, and brought it to an end.TEKEL: you are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.PERES: your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain.Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty- two years old.

My brothers, don’t hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory with partiality.For if a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor man in filthy clothing also comes in,and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing and say,“ Sit here in a good place;” and you tell the poor man,“ Stand there,” or“ Sit by my footstool”haven’t you shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?But you have dishonored the poor man. Don’t the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts?Don’t they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.

Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.For I don’t know how to give flattering titles, or else my Maker would soon take me away.
