How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

And I will wait on the Lord, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him.
