求主速然應允我、我心神憔悴、莫掩面不顧我、不然、我與入墓之人無異、

俞允莫遲遲。應憐我情苦。主若掩慈顏。匍匐將誰怙。

Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can[ not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man[ that hath] no strength:Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

But I[ am] poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou[ art] my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?How long shall I take counsel in my soul,[ having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?Consider[ and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the[ sleep of] death;Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him;[ and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

But I[ am] poor and needy;[ yet] the Lord thinketh upon me: thou[ art] my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise[ and] praise thee? Selah.Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave?[ or] thy faithfulness in destruction?

O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls[ which] I have made.

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
