Let a righteous man strike me— that is a kindness; let him rebuke me— that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

If a godly person hit me, it would be an act of kindness. If they would correct me, it would be like pouring olive oil on my head. I wouldn’t say no to it. I will always pray against the things that sinful people do.

兄弟、人如有誤犯過失者、爾中之有靈修者當以溫和之精神、勸其改過遷善；亦須慎自檢點、庶免本身亦陷於罪。

惟吾語爾、愛爾仇讐、為辱爾者禱、

吾所愛者、吾則責之懲之。尚其激發熱情、悔過自新。

讌我群敵前。感爾恩施優。靈膏沐我首。玉爵盈欲流。

燔牲祭獻。非主所珍。

祈我雅瑋。福彼善人。善人無邪。心地光明。

爾中患病者、當邀會中長老、為之祈禱、並因主名為之傅油。至誠篤信之祈禱、必能起沉回生、而其所犯之罪、亦必蒙赦。爾等應彼此認罪、互為祈求、俾得全復。善人之祈禱、厥效甚大。

奧乃西弗則屢次予我以寬慰、不以予之縲絏為恥、願主矜恤其闔家大小是祝。渠一抵羅馬即四處探聽我之所在、而惠然來訪、渠實有心人也。吾願其在大審判日、蒙主慈恩。曩在伊法所時、吾如何承其多方照拂固汝所素稔也。
