The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this.

Fearing the LORD is the beginning of moral knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.Although they claimed to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four- footed animals or reptiles.Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones,and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are rife with envy, murder, strife, deceit, hostility. They are gossips,slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents,senseless, covenant- breakers, heartless, ruthless.Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.

But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.

Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart.

The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence.God saw the earth, and indeed it was ruined, for all living creatures on the earth were sinful.

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

“ How long will you simpletons love naiveté? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools abhor turning away from evil.

They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, misled, enslaved to various passions and desires, spending our lives in evil and envy, hateful and hating one another.

Now this is the basis for judging: that the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed.

If you should pound the fool in the mortar among the grain with the pestle, his foolishness would not depart from him.

My lord should not pay attention to this wicked man Nabal. He simply lives up to his name! His name means‘ fool,’ and he is indeed foolish! But I, your servant, did not see the servants my lord sent.

They acted like fools in their rebellious ways, and suffered because of their sins.

The sinful nation is as good as dead, the people weighed down by evil deeds. They are offspring who do wrong, children who do wicked things. They have abandoned the LORD, and rejected the Holy One of Israel. They are alienated from him.

But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”

how much less man, who is abominable and corrupt, who drinks in evil like water!

But you have said,‘ What does God know? Does he judge through such deep darkness?

For I envied those who are proud, as I observed the prosperity of the wicked.

They spew out threats and speak defiantly; all the evildoers boast.O LORD, they crush your people; they oppress the nation that belongs to you.They kill the widow and the one residing outside his native land, and they murder the fatherless.Then they say,“ The LORD does not see this; the God of Jacob does not take notice of it.”Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?

An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God,for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right.He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil.

Why do you boast about your evil plans, O powerful man? God’s loyal love protects me all day long!Your tongue carries out your destructive plans; it is as effective as a sharp razor, O deceiver.You love evil more than good, lies more than speaking the truth.( Selah)You love to use all the words that destroy, and the tongue that deceives.Yet God will make you a permanent heap of ruins. He will scoop you up and remove you from your home; he will uproot you from the land of the living.( Selah)When the godly see this, they will be filled with awe, and will mock the evildoer, saying:
