若上升於高天、爾在於彼、若下榻於陰府、爾在於斯兮、

如上升於穹蒼、爾居於彼、如長眠於地下、爾亦在彼兮、

我若上升於天、主乃在彼、我若下榻於示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註主亦在彼、

曰躍於天。主在雲表。曰潛於淵。主伏於沼。

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I lie down in the deepest parts of the earth, you are also there.

If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.

If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou[ art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou[ art there].

If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.

If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!

“ Even if they dig down to the place of the dead, I will reach down and pull them up. Even if they climb up into the heavens, I will bring them down.Even if they hide at the very top of Mount Carmel, I will search them out and capture them. Even if they hide at the bottom of the ocean, I will send the sea serpent after them to bite them.Even if their enemies drive them into exile, I will command the sword to kill them there. I am determined to bring disaster upon them and not to help them.”

He said,“ I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the land of the dead, and Lord, you heard me!

“ For God watches how people live; he sees everything they do.No darkness is thick enough to hide the wicked from his eyes.

Even Death and Destruction hold no secrets from the Lord. How much more does he know the human heart!

The underworld is naked in God’s presence. The place of destruction is uncovered.

“ Son of man, sing this funeral song for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.You were in Eden, the garden of God. Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone— red carnelian, pale green peridot, white moonstone, blue green beryl, onyx, green jasper, blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald— all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created.I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire.“ You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire.Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.

But even if you soar as high as eagles and build your nest among the stars, I will bring you crashing down,” says the Lord.
