Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.

Lord, even before I speak a word, you know all about it.

Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.

Before a word is on my tongue, you know all about it, LORD.

Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all.

For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.

Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.

For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit.You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes.

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

You asked,‘ Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

“ How long will you speak these things, And the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?

For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.”

“ And it shall come to pass at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And punish the men Who are settled in complacency, Who say in their heart,‘ The Lord will not do good, Nor will He do evil.’

“ Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

“ Your words have been harsh against Me,” Says the Lord,“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’You have said,‘ It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts?So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’”Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.

because they have done disgraceful things in Israel, have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and have spoken lying words in My name, which I have not commanded them. Indeed I know, and am a witness, says the Lord.
