以明哲造穹蒼、以其慈惠永存兮、

以智慧造穹蒼、矜憫恆懷兮、

以智慧造天、主之恩慈、永遠常存、

who by his understanding made the heavens, His love endures forever.

起初，神創造諸天和大地。

耶和華啊，你所做的何其多！你藉著智慧成就了這一切，大地充滿了你的創造；

在耶和華創世之始，在太初創造以先，他就擁有了我。從亙古、從最初、從大地之始，我已經被立。在沒有深淵、沒有湧流眾水的泉源之時，我已經誕生。在群山被安置以先、岡陵被安置之前，我已經誕生。那時耶和華還沒有造大地、田野，也沒有造世上最初的塵土。在他確立諸天時，我在那裡——他在淵面上立定圓穹，他布置天上的雲朵，使深淵的泉眼噴湧；他為海洋設立界限，使眾水不能違背他的吩咐；他立定了大地的根基——

諸天藉著耶和華的話語而造，其中的萬象藉著他口中的氣息而成。

耶和華藉著智慧奠定大地的根基，藉著聰慧確立諸天；藉著他的知識，深淵就裂開，雲朵也滴下甘露。
