You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

He found favor in God’s sight and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.But it was Solomon who built Him a house.However, the Most High does not dwell in sanctuaries made with hands, as the prophet says:Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. What sort of house will you build for Me? says the Lord, or what is My resting place?

“ My son,” David said to Solomon,“ It was in my heart to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God,

They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent David had set up for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings in the Lord’s presence.

But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.

David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring the ark of the Lord to the place he had prepared for it.

But who is able to build a temple for Him, since even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain Him? Who am I then that I should build a temple for Him except as a place to burn incense before Him?

This is what the Lord says: Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house could you possibly build for Me? And what place could be My home?

He said to them,“ You are the heads of the Levite families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves so that you may bring the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it.
