外患實頻仍。所幸未崩潰。

我還告訴你，你是彼得，我要把我的教會建造在這磐石上，陰間的權柄不能勝過它。

誰能使我們與基督的愛隔絕呢？難道是患難嗎？是困苦嗎？是迫害嗎？是飢餓嗎？是赤身露體嗎？是危險嗎？是刀劍嗎？如經上所記：「我們為你的緣故終日被殺；人看我們如將宰的羊。」然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上，我們已經得勝有餘了。因為我深信，無論是死，是活，是天使，是掌權的，是有權能的，是現在的事，是將來的事，是高處的，是深處的，是別的受造之物，都不能使我們與上帝的愛隔絕，這愛是在我們的主基督耶穌裏的。

牠們都打敗了，天上再也沒有牠們的地方。大龍就是那古蛇，名叫魔鬼，又叫撒但，是迷惑普天下的；牠被摔在地上，牠的使者也一同被摔下去。

我們處處受困，卻不被捆住；內心困擾，卻沒有絕望；遭受迫害，卻不被撇棄；擊倒在地，卻不致滅亡。

倚靠耶和華的人好像錫安山，安穩坐鎮，永不動搖。

我對你們說了這些事，是要使你們在我裏面有平安。在世上你們有苦難，但你們要有勇氣，我已經勝過世界。」

你六次遭難，他必救你；就是七次，災禍也無法害你。

你用力推我，要叫我跌倒，但耶和華幫助了我。

上帝啊，我的心切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水。

義人多有苦難，但耶和華救他脫離這一切，
