外患實頻仍。所幸未崩潰。

我还告诉你：你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的门不能胜过它。

到底谁能使我们与基督的爱分开呢？难道是患难吗？是困苦吗？是逼迫吗？是饥饿吗？是赤身吗？是危险吗？是刀剑吗？正如经上所记：“为你的缘故，我们终日被置于死地，被看为要宰杀的羊。”然而，靠着爱我们的那一位，我们在这一切事上已经得胜有余了。事实上，我深信：无论是死、是生、是天使、是统治者、是现在的事、是将来的事、是有势力的、是高处的、是深处的，或是任何别的被造之物，都不能使我们与神的爱分开，这爱是在我们主基督耶稣里的。

可是龙不能得胜，天上再也没有它们的地方了。于是那巨龙被摔了下来。它就是那古蛇，被称为魔鬼和撒旦，那迷惑普天下的。它被摔在地上，它的使者们也与它一起被摔了下来。

我们处处受患难，却不被压碎；心里困惑，却没有绝望；受逼迫，却不被撇弃；被打倒，却没有灭亡。

依靠耶和华的人，就像锡安山，不致动摇，永远屹立。

我把这些事告诉了你们，好让你们在我里面有平安。在世上你们有患难，然而你们要鼓起勇气！我已经胜过了这世界。”

我被人推搡，将要跌倒；但是耶和华帮助我。

神哪，我的灵魂切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水！

义人有许多患难，但耶和华解救他脱离这一切，
