It is better to go to the Lord for safety than to trust in mere human beings.

They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.“ But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

Don’t trust anyone— not your best friend or even your wife!For the son despises his father. The daughter defies her mother. The daughter in law defies her mother in law. Your enemies are right in your own household!As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. InterludeCommon people are as worthless as a puff of wind, and the powerful are not what they appear to be. If you weigh them on the scales, together they are lighter than a breath of air.
