Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?Are You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over?So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying,“ O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.

And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.

Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help.Also draw out the spear, And stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul,“ I am your salvation.”

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
