Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?

神啊，你不是丢弃了我们吗？神啊，你不和我们的军兵同去吗？

上帝啊，你真的丢弃了我们吗？上帝啊，你不和我们的军队同去吗？

神啊，你真的丢弃了我们吗？神啊，你不和我们的军队同去吗？

上帝啊，你抛弃了我们吗？上帝啊，你不再和我们的军队一同出战了吗？

神啊！你不是把我们丢弃了吗？神啊！你不和我们的军队一同出战吗？

神哪，你不会抛弃了我们吧？神哪，你不与我们的队伍一同出征吗？

神啊，你不是丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍兵同去嗎？

上帝啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？上帝啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

神啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

上帝啊，你拋棄了我們嗎？上帝啊，你不再和我們的軍隊一同出戰了嗎？

神啊！你不是把我們丟棄了嗎？神啊！你不和我們的軍隊一同出戰嗎？

上帝啊，不是你把我們屏棄了麼？上帝啊，你不在我們軍隊中去出戰了！

神哪，你不會拋棄了我們吧？神哪，你不與我們的隊伍一同出征嗎？

上帝歟、爾非棄我乎、上帝歟、爾不與我軍偕出兮、

惟爾上帝、素棄我躬、惟爾上帝、今率余軍旅兮、

豈非天主乎、現今主竟遺棄我儕、不偕我軍旅出徵、

誰能領我。襲彼崇墉。誰能引我。征彼夷東。

Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?

God, isn’t it you, even though you have now turned away from us? Isn’t it you, even though you don’t lead our armies into battle anymore?

Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.

Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?

God, haven’t you rejected us? God, you do not march out with our armies.

God, have You Yourself not rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, God?

Hast not thou cast us off, O God? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

God, haven’t You rejected us? God, You do not march out with our armies.

[ Wilt] not[ thou], O God,[ who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.

Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies.

But You have cast us off and put us to shame, And You do not go out with our armies.

Then the Philistines gathered together all their armies at Aphek, and the Israelites encamped by a fountain which is in Jezreel.And the lords of the Philistines passed in review by hundreds and by thousands, but David and his men passed in review at the rear with Achish.Then the princes of the Philistines said,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines,“ Is this not David, the servant of Saul king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or these years? And to this day I have found no fault in him since he defected to me.”But the princes of the Philistines were angry with him; so the princes of the Philistines said to him,“ Make this fellow return, that he may go back to the place which you have appointed for him, and do not let him go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become our adversary. For with what could he reconcile himself to his master, if not with the heads of these men?Is this not David, of whom they sang to one another in dances, saying:‘ saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands’?”Then Achish called David and said to him,“ Surely, as the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight. For to this day I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me. Nevertheless the lords do not favor you.Therefore return now, and go in peace, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines.”So David said to Achish,“ But what have I done? And to this day what have you found in your servant as long as I have been with you, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my Lord the king?”Then Achish answered and said to David,“ I know that you are as good in my sight as an angel of God; nevertheless the princes of the Philistines have said,‘ He shall not go up with us to the battle.’Now therefore, rise early in the morning with your master’s servants who have come with you. And as soon as you are up early in the morning and have light, depart.”So David and his men rose early to depart in the morning, to return to the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying,“ What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said,“ Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!”

Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”

“ When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

And he said,“ Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you:‘ Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Now look, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

And he shall say to them,‘ Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them;for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’
