被之以水。有如褞袍。厥水滔滔。淹彼岧嶢。

You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

You, Lord, covered it with the oceans like a blanket. The waters covered the mountains.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

You covered it with the deep as if it were a garment; the water stood above the mountains.

You covered it with the deep sea as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.

Finally, the water covered even the highest mountains on the earth,

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.

The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens.God called the space“ sky.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.Then God said,“ Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened.God called the dry ground“ land” and the waters“ seas.” And God saw that it was good.
