生草萊以飼六畜、備菜蔬以供人需、俾穀產於地兮、

主令百草萌櫱、六畜囓之、菜蔬叢生、世人食之、咸地所產兮、

主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

凡有血有肉的，他赐粮食，因他的慈爱永远长存。

土地必给你长出荆棘和蒺藜来；你也要吃田间的五谷菜蔬。

田野的走兽啊，不要惧怕，因为旷野的草已生长，树木结果，无花果树、葡萄树也都效力。

神说：“地要长出植物，就是含种子的五谷菜蔬，和会结果子、果子里有种子的树，在地上各从其类。”事就这样成了。于是地长出了植物：含种子的五谷菜蔬，各从其类；会结果子、果子里有种子的树，各从其类。神看为好的。

神说：“看哪，我把全地一切含种子的五谷菜蔬和一切会结果子、果子里有种子的树，都赐给你们；这些都可作食物。至于地上一切的走兽、天空一切的飞鸟，并一切在地上爬行的，有生命的动物，我把绿色植物赐给它们作食物。”事就这样成了。

万有的眼目都仰望你，你按时给他们食物。你张手，使一切有生命的都随愿饱足。

田野的母鹿因为无草也撇弃才生的小鹿。野驴站在光秃的高地喘气，好像野狗；它们的眼目因无草而失明。”

使荒废凄凉之地得以丰足，青草得以生长？

耶和华神使各样的树从土地里长出来，可以悦人的眼目，好作食物。园子当中有生命树和知善恶的树。

可见，栽种的算不了什么，浇灌的也算不了什么；惟有神能使它生长。

亚哈对俄巴底说：“我们要走遍这地，到一切水泉旁和一切溪边，或者能找到青草，可以救活马和骡子，免得丧失一些牲畜。”

地上还没有田野的草木，田间的菜蔬还没有长出来，因为耶和华神还没有降雨在地上，也没有人耕种土地。

你耕种土地，它不再给你效力；你必流离飘荡在地上。”
