主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

他用烏雲遮蓋天空，為大地預備雨水，使群山長出青草。他賜糧食給走獸，也給啼叫的烏鴉幼雛。

一切有生命的動物，都可以作你們的食物；我把這一切賜給了你們，就像我把綠色植物賜給你們一樣。

他賜糧食給一切有血肉的，因他的慈愛永遠長存！

土地將給你長出荊棘和蒺藜；你也必吃田間的蔬草。

神說：「讓地長出植物——結種子的蔬草和結果實的果樹，各從其類，地上的果實中都有種子。」事情就如此成就了。地就生出了植物——結種子的蔬草，各從其類；還有結果實、果實中有種子的樹，各從其類。神看這是好的。

神說：「看哪，我把全地上一切結種子的蔬草和一切果實中帶種子的樹，都賜給你們；這些都可作為你們的食物。至於地上的一切野獸、天空的一切飛鳥和在地上活動的一切有氣息的生物，我把各樣綠色植物都賜給牠們作食物。」事情就如此成就了。

一切的眼目都仰望你，你按時賜給他們食物；你張開手，使一切有生命的都意願滿足。

耶和華神使各樣的樹從地裡長出來，令人眼目喜愛，作為食物也很好；在園子的中間有生命樹和分辨善惡樹。

所以，除了使之生長的神，那栽種的和那澆灌的都算不得什麼。

田野的灌木還沒有出現在地上，田間的蔬草也還沒有長出，因為耶和華神沒有降雨在地上，也沒有人耕耘土地；

你耕耘土地，地卻不再給你效力；你在大地上必成為漂泊、流蕩的人。」
